The Dupes
Three refugees from the 1948 dispossession of Palestine try to cross into oil-rich Kuwait looking for work. Keeping themselves hidden in the back of a truck, their journey is a treacherous one, but, having already lost their country, these men feel they have nothing left to lose. The Dupes is a classic of Arab cinema, and an adaptation of Palestinian exile Ghassan Kanafani’s novella Men in the Sun.
