Voices on Paper – Linocut Printing Workshop with Alice Thomas

Saturday 29th November, 2025
The Island Gallery, 1st Floor, Bridewell Street, BS1 2QD
£20 per person (£15 concessions)

Times:

  • Workshop 1 from 11:00–13:00 (sold out)
  • Workshop 2 from 14:00–16:00

Inspired by Art of the Palestinian Poster, we invite participants to explore the power of print as a form of creative expression and resistance.

In this hands-on session, printmaker Alice Thomas will guide you through the essentials of linocut — from carving and inking to printing — as you create your own A6 print, producing an edition of five to take home. All materials are included, and no previous experience is required.

Please note: prints may still be wet at the end of the session and will need to be collected the following day (between 12:00 and 18:00) once fully dry.

  • Suitable for ages 14 and over. (Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.)
  • Spaces are limited — early booking is recommended.

Donations

All donations from this year’s festival will go to Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), providing humanitarian assistance as well as health and social services to Palestinians whenever and wherever needed. You can donate here.
